10/26/2007 - I've neglected this web page for many months. Today the FJ is riding on a new lift..
I was lucky to get in on a group buy on fjcruiserforums.com through a great vendor ToyTec.
The lift included (2) OME 885 front coils, (2) ToyTec Top plate spacers for a full 3" lift up front, (2)
ToyTec "stock ride" rear coils and (2) Rear Procomp 9000 shocks.
01/10/2007 - I installed Demello rock sliders/rails. Man these are stout!
04/29/2006 - I've changed my mind from putting a lift on and will only be installing different tires. A few items that I can't believe Toyota designers/engineers overlooked:
- A real bumper! The front plastic is a joke.
- Auto locking doors past 5 mph.
- A useable map light directly overhead between the visors.
